Numerous times over the years I have had conversations with young adults where we will be discussing the need to save for retirement, and almost every time they will agree that they “need to”. When I ask them why they haven’t started, they will often say “I haven’t got around to it yet” or a similar statement, and I will almost always reply (sometimes loudly) “WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!”
If there is something you need to do, do it right now! We are not promised tomorrow, we only have today. If you need to say you are “sorry” to someone, do it right now, is there someone you need to profess your love for, do it! There a conversation that needs to happen, a change that needs to be made or a prayer that needs to be said….do it now!
Most importantly, have you been waiting to follow Jesus? The right time to be saved is now! You know this is true…in fact, you are reading this article because you probably already believe in Jesus and know you need to commit to Him. Why not commit to him right now? WHAT ARE YOU WATING FOR!?
In Acts 22, the Apostle Paul is telling his conversion story and he mentions that after hearing more from Ananias about God’s plan, that Ananias asks him plainly:
“And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized, and wash your sins away, calling on His name” (Acts 22:16)
If you haven’t had your sins washed away, if you have not called upon the name of Lord by being baptized ….WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!?
